GMB members gathered outside the City Chambers to draw attention to the stress care workers face when working alone and the effect it has on home carers’ mental health, demanding that Glasgow Health and Social Care Partnership to take action to ease the risks. A recent survey by GMB Scotland revealed that 89% of the women felt scared while working alone while almost half had endured intimidation, abuse or violence while working.
