Glasgow, Scotland, UK. 25th June 2026. Protesters gathered outside Glasgow City Chambers during the full council meeting to protest the threat to close the Glasshouse in Queens Park. There had been an earlier decision to close the Glasshouse but last-minute discussions before the Council Meeting have thrown the Glasshouse a lifeline. Protesters, however, have not been given any guarantees and there is still a fear for its future or a risk it may be transferred from public ownership.
